Some history on Ted:
Ted was a drum major at Calabasas High School and attended Cal State Northridge
at which time he took lessons from and studied with Bill Bing, Ron Borrows and
Rich Hoffman. His very first concert was his own! Playing a classical trumpet solo
at a Junior High School when he was only 8 years old.
If you were to look into Ted's music collection you would find music in the genres
of Funk, Jazz & Rock. Some of his greatest influences include: Herb Alpert, Arturo
Sandoval, Miles, Chuck Mangionie, Bach & even Phil Clevinger!
Ted says his greatest memory with Phat Cat Swinger was opening for Big Bad
Voodoo Daddy at the House of Blues in 2006. Outside of music you might find Ted
either Mountain Bike Riding or Motorcycling.
Ted has been with Phat Cat Swinger since September of 2005 and has been a
pleasure to have in the band. Feel free to contact him with any of your trumpet
